James studied polymer physics at the University of Bristol, UK and subsequently held postdoctoral positions in Bristol and at University of Cambridge, UK. He has experience with modelling of fuel cell polymers, nanocomposites and biological membranes with a particular focus on application of atomistic, coarse-grained and mesoscale methods. At BIOVIA he has worked in materials modeling support and services roles, and is now product manager for Materials Studio.
